CANTERBURY JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS REFEREEING REQUIREMENTS
Plan your referee requirements early, to ensure your team meets the eligibility criteria to enter the tournament.
Referee Course
Nominated Referees
- it is a requirement of entry into the Cantrebury Junior Volleyball Championships for each team competing to provide a VNZ qualified (Regional A or above) or VNZ Theory-qualified Referee.
- Nominated Referee must be identified on the official Team Entry.
VNZ Theory-qualified Referees
- A Theory-qualified Referee (or intended) must have completed and passed the Theory Exam.
- Theory-qualified Referees must ensure they are scheduled (with the Chief Referee) to be assessed for the practical component of the VNZ Regional A Referee qualification during the tournament.
- The Chief Referee will fulfil a mentoring role to assist referees through their practical assessments and ensure assessments are competed to help referees fulfil the criteria of Referees’ Accreditation shown in the Referee’s Logbook (download from the Referee section of the on the VNZ web site).
